Moods and Emotions
Moods and Emotions was my first sculpture and came to life over a period of time as my vision deteriorated. With each day came a new emotion, and thus a new aspect of my sculpture. The curves and folds emulate good moods, and the tight vertical twists represent the darker days. The summit of the sculpture mirrors the roller coaster of life, with the peaks being the good moods, and the troughs representing the harder times. As you run your hands up around the lighter more rounded exterior you will be led to a darker, course inner coil mirroring the more sinister parts of my mind. Whilst running your hands around the summit you will notice slightly scalloped coves, releasing blue steams of tears cascading down the sculpture. These tears can as easily represent the happiness of a birth as the sadness of a death as with every mood and emotion there are two sides, enjoy. This piece is approximately 18 inches tall and is made of sandy texture clay. It is now the property of a representative of Blind Art and part of a travelling exhibition across the UK. .
