Dark Religion/ The Monk
This work was inspired by the events of 7/7, when faceless terrorists caused death and mayhem on the streets of London in the name of so-called religion.
Not even brave enough to wear a uniform or to voice their beliefs to the public, the actions of these people made me think of the darker and faceless side of religion.
Hence the dark, cloaked figure without a face.
This piece stands approximately 48 inches tall and is constructed from Black Clay. It has been exhibited at Cork Street Gallery, Mayfair, Beldam Gallery at Brunel University and the Barn at Ruislip.
