Two Faced
If you feel or look at two faced you will see there are two sides, which are completely different in contrast to each other but have one thing in common the brain, the mind at the top of the sculpture.
Two faced is my take on how I view some people. The smooth undulating side represents pleasurable experiences like fun, laughter, the lighter side of people at face value, but bubbling under the surface on the reverse side of the sculpture is a rough dark texture, which to the touch feels sinister. Flowing down to the bottom where you will find hidden caverns to inner dark secrets of the mind.
We are all representatives of this sculpture, the good and evil, light and dark side of people.
This piece is approximately 18 inches tall and made from stoneware clay. It has been exhibited at the Barn in Ruislip and Winston Churchill Hall.
